Italian Adriano Malori of Movistar posted the fastest time of Wednesday’s time trial to grab the first blue leader’s jersey of the 2015 Tirreno-Adriatico. Originally, the first stage was supposed to be a 22.7-km team time trial, but vicious storms on the Tyrennian coast that littered the course with trees and branches caused the organizers to change the stage a couple of days before the start. Then at the 11th hour the race against the clock was shortened from 5.7-km to 5.4-km.

The route of Grand Prix Cycliste Gatineau, the women’s UCI 1.1 road race, will include a 36.7-km run into Gatineau Park, just northwest of Ottawa. The past two editions of the race have only skirted the southern part of the park.
