Giant Bicycle Canada seeks demo driver, brand representative to be the company’s skilled face

Are you such a fan of cycling that you love the idea of traveling to events, showing off bikes and managing a fleet of them?

giant-bikes-canada_01082015Are you such a fan of cycling that you love the idea of traveling to events, showing off bikes, and managing a fleet of them—demo bikes, that is—for exactly that purpose?

If so, Giant Bicycle Canada Inc. wants to talk to you.

The company—one of the biggest names in cycling—recently put out a call for applicants interested in becoming a demo driver/brand representative. If you’re an experienced mechanic and responsible behind the wheel of a car to boot, the job is ideal. Assembly and disassembly of bikes, maintenance and setting up riders are all big, essential parts of the role, as well as working alongside the sales, marketing and events teams to organize various details.

In that respect, of course, professionalism in every interaction isn’t just as an asset, it’s a must. Given that the successful candidate will spend most of his or her time in contact with consumers and retail partners alike, he or she should be as handy with their interpersonal skills as they are with a bike wrench. Travel, notably, is also about 90 percent of the job.

Here’s what Giant says about the role. If you’re interested, submit your resume and cover letter to canada@giantbicycle.com.
