French multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, better known as LVMH, is looking to enter the high-end sports market and are in negotiation to buy Pinarello tuttobiciwed.it are reporting. Founded in 1952, Pinarello bikes have been ridden to 12 Tour de France victories, most recently by Chris Froome but also by Miguel Indurain in a run of five victories in the 90s. The brand’s presence at the top end of the sport and line-up of high-end performance bikes headlined by the Dogma F8, make it of particular interest to LVMH whose luxury brands encompass a wide range of subsidiaries.

LVMH own luxury brands in the clothing, cosmetics, fashion accessories, jewelry, perfumes, spirits, Swiss watches and wines. Companies under the parent organization include Dior, Louis Vuitton, De Beers Diamond Jewellers, Marc Jacobs, Moet & Chandon and Sephora. The groups interest in entering into the sports, wellness and leisure markets would be headlined by the acquisition of Pinarello. The bike company also operates in tourism, owning holiday real-estate along with operating luxury holiday and travel brands Pinarello Travel and the Pinarello Granfondo ‘La Pina’.
