With over 200 wins to his name, Gord Fraser is a worthy inductee into the Canadian Cycling Hall of Fame

Director Sportif of Silber Pro Cycling continues to make major contributions to cycling in Canada

On Oct. 1, 2016, Gord Fraser was inducted into the Canadian Cycling Hall fo Fame. At the ceremony in the Mattamy National Cycling Centre, the sprinter, who has more than 200 wins to his name, mentioned a win that came late in his career that seems to stand above the others. A few Hall of Fame inductees from the inaugural class in 2015 influenced Fraser throughout his career. Those influential riders include Curt Harnett, Steve Bauer, Tanya Dubnicoff and especially Gord Singleton and Jocelyn Lovell.

Fraser now works as director sportif for Silber Pro Cycling which has become Canada’s top team on the UCI America tour where they ranked second overall in 2016. The team has done an astounding job developing top talent in thanks in large part to the work Fraser has done with some of Canada’s most promising young cyclists like three time Canadian under-23 champion Benjamin Perry, Alexandre Cataford who will be racing for UniterHealthcare in 2017 and Matteo Dal-Cin, the first Canadian winner of the Redlands Cycling Classic in the races 35-year history.
