Also on the startline will be home today favourite Michael Woods who knows Gatineau Park like the back of his hand. He is returning to racing from a wrist injury that has kept him out of competition since April’s Liège – Bastogne – Liège. Jasmin Glaesser of Rally Cycling and the elite national track program will take the start and is headed to the Rio Olympics in August. Tara Whitten was fourth in the world championships TT in 2011 the same year she was also national champion. Whitten finished second at the Chrono Gatineau and again is a strong contender. Canuel was third at the Chrono Gatineau and is building her form for the Olympics, she is a good climber and lives in Gatineau so is familiar with the roads.
