On Friday, Cofidis announced that Dominique Rollin of Boucherville, Que., would be joining the pro continental team in 2015. The development marks the return to pro cycling for the 31-year-old rider. From 2011 to 2013, Rollin rode with FDJ.fr. At the end of 2013, he was not offered a contract with the French team and did not race this year.

Rollin will be joined, on Jan. 1 officially, by a former FDJ.fr rider, sprinter Nacer Bouhanni. Two other new recruits are Geoffrey Soupe, also from FDJ.fr, and Steve Chainel from Ag2r-La Mondiale.

Dominique Rollin has raced for Toyota-United and Cervélo Test Team. He’s also ridden  in two of professional cycling’s Grand Tours: the Vuelta a España and the Giro d’Italia. While Cofidis is a pro continental team and must rely on a wildcard invitation to the Tour de France, it is a perennial fixture at la Grande Boucle.
