The course for the 2016 Canadian cyclocross championships is in Jacques Cartier Park on Lac des Nations and not far from downtown Sherbrooke, Que. Here’s what Stéphane Vallieres, race organizer and president of Vélo-Sherbrooke, had to say about the route:

“We have 320 riders signed up for Saturday’s national championship races. Sunday’s event, the final races in la coupe Québec de CX, is expected to exceed 350 riders. The course will be similar to last year’s provincials with a few variations. It is a course that is not very fast, but that requires a lot of technical skills and has a lot of turns. And if it rains, it will be very muddy. Competitors will also face a sand pit 110′ long. Spectators will see much of the course without having to move a lot and the event will be very festive.”
