Max Plaxton returns to Sho-Air/Cannondale for 2015

Canadian mountain bike racer Max Plaxton–national champion in 2012–has rejoined Sho-Air/Cannondale after a season with Cannondale Factory Racing.

Plaxton shifted over to Cannondale Factory Racing following a 2013 highlighted by a fifth place at the Nové Mesto Na Morave UCI World Cup event in the Czech Republic.

A knee injury saw him scrap 2014 World Cup ambitions to race in North America. He won a point-to-point race in Pemberton, BC called the NIMBY 50 and triumphed in the Squamish, BC Test of Metal. Plaxton also came third in the US XC Pro Cup series, while compatriot Geoff Kabush was second.

Plaxton just missed out on two podiums this season at the national championships and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. He also represented Canada at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Sho-Air/Cannondale announced Monday that it has also brought aboard second-year pro Evelyn Dong.
