MTN-Qhubeka’s 2015 uniform features zebra stripes

South Africa-based pro continental squad MTN-Qhubeka, which made its Grand Tour debut at the 2014 Vuelta a España, has left the black and yellow “bee” look to Lotto-NL, Belkin’s new incarnation, and opted for a black-and-white striped jersey in 2015.

The 2015 uniform rings in the changes at MTN-Qhubeka, with the famous é of their new Canadian bike supplier Cervélo retaining one of the few vestiges of yellow.

The new uniform is reminiscent of a zebra, or, if you’re a footy fan, a Newcastle United or Juventus kit.

The team was formed in 2007 as MTN and became a pro continental team in 2013 when Gerald Ciolek took the squad’s first major victory by winning Milan-San Remo. The team features African riders from South Africa, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Rwanda. For 2015 MTN-Qhubeka has signed American sprinter Tyler Farrar, Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen, Dutchman Theo Bos, Brit Stephen Cummings and 2011 Milan-San Remo champion Matty Goss of Australia.
