Norco have revealed the 2017 Sight Carbon. The Canadian company has redesigned the suspension, frame geometry and gave the aggressive trail bike internal cable routing. The sight will be available in either 27.5″ or 29″ wheel sizes. The smaller wheels allow for quicker accelerations and responsive handling while the bigger wheel setup gives the 29er more rollover and momentum.

Suspension travel is slightly different with the bigger wheeled model having 130 mm of rear travel and 140 mm up front while the 27.5″ comes with 140 mm of travel in the back and 150 mm up front.

The Sight’s frame geometry has been updated for an aggressive all mountain ride by making the frame slacker, longer and lower. The geometry, Norco says, makes the bike one that suits “modern all-mountain riding styles.”

The 29er geometry borrows from the Norco’s Killer B with the same rear center lengths but with a longer front centre. The bike has a steeper head tube angle 66.5 degrees on the 27.5″ and 67 degrees 29″, and a shorter stem. The fit between the two bikes is the same despite different stack and reach measurements thanks to a system Norco calls Reach Plus and Stack Plus.

Also new is the A.R.T. Suspension system designed to improve the suspension’s performance. The rear chainstay pivot is higher to reduce chain growth with less progression as well. Sensitivity on the Trunnion mount has been improved with cartridge bearing pivots with the goal of reducing less pedal bob. The pivots all use Enduro MAX bearings.

The frame is built from Norco’s Armorlite carbon fibre. The bike also features 148 x 12 mm spacing and Gizmo internal cable routing that allows rides to mix and match for the desired set-up. The bike comes with wide tubeless-ready rims and stealth dropper post cable routing.
