Specialized Fatboy 24 and Fatboy 20: Fat bikes for small riders
Specialized Canada has announced that two fat bikes for young riders will be available in mid-December. Both the Specialized Fatboy 24 and Fatboy 20 will feature Ground Control tires in sizes.
The Fatboy 24’s frame and fork are made of the company’s A1 Premium aluminum frame. Tektro Aries mechanical disc brakes will let a little rider scrub speed. The SRAM X4 rear derailleur and Sunrace, nine-speed cassette (11-34 tooth) will wind those fat wheels up again. Just how fat are those alloy rims? They’re 90 mm wide. The specs of the Fatboy 20 mirror those of its bigger brother.
The Fatboy 24 will retail for $1,259; the Fatboy 20, $1,229.
