Trek stores in GTA host ‘Saddle, Sore’ launch party and mountain bike team roster announcement

Event features a talk and a chance to network with local cycling community

Trek stores in Toronto, Aurora and Barrie will host launch events for Molly Hurford’s book “Saddle, Sore” and an associated presentation on training and riding comfortably.

The event begins on Dec. 6 at the Toronto location at 2063 Yonge St. where the Trek Canada mountain bike team will be announced with all members of the 2017 team on hand. The members of the team will add their experiences to the talk. On Dec. 7 the event takes place in Aurora at 15543 Yonge St. with the concluding night on Dec. 8 in Barrie at 88 Dunlop St. East.

“Saddle, Sore” is a book that touches on subject matter that helps shop-staff, parents, coaches and athletes talk about proper saddle choice, bike setup, saddle sores and birth control. The expanded edition which was released on Amazon on Oct. 5 adds chapters on aging, pregnancy, and male-specific issues.

The accompanying talk given by Hurford and Peter Glassford gives provides tips and tricks to enhance comfort on the bike, training strategies to make greater fitness gains and health tips.

Each event hosted at a Trek store also gives you an opportunity to check out the latest gear to add to your Christmas list or pick up a gift for a pedaller in your life. Their will be snacks, beverages and a chance to network in the cycling community.
