Musette Caffè, Alex Stieda to host fundraising events for World Bicycle Relief Canada

The Vancouver café and the yellow jersey winner will help the bicycle-centred charity

Mark your calendars, Vancouver riders, enthusiasts and cycling advocates. On May 25, 26 and 27—this Thursday, Friday and Saturday—Musette Caffè at 325 Burrard St. is hosting a string of events to support World Bicycle Relief Canada, with one powerhouse name in Canadian cycling history planning to be in attendance.

It’s an opportunity to participate in World Bicycle Relief’s mandate: to mobilize people through the power of the bike, and to realize “a world where distance is no longer a barrier to independence and livelihood.”

On Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Musette Caffè will be the site of the weekend’s first event, supporting World Bicycle Relief Canada’s efforts, with North America’s first Tour de France yellow jersey wearer and Olympian Alex Stieda hosting. Then, at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Stieda will also host a Tour de France spin class at Method Indoor Cycling, 202 Arbutus St. Finally, on Sunday at 8 a.m., meet back at the Musette Caffè for coffee, pastries and the finish of the Giro d’Italia. From 9:30 a.m. to roughly 11 a.m., ride with Musette Tour Guides with the support of Velofix.
