Next Tuesday, July 8, an Ontario Cycling Association–sanctioned, women’s mountain bike race hits Toronto’s Don Valley. The Wild Bettys are organizing the FunDuro, which is open to women 18 year old and older. The last time an OCA sanctioned women’s only race took place was way back in 2007, when the The Fly Gurlz, ran a 10 hour race that was organized, commisaired, designed, ran and participated in only by women, at Albion Hill to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

Ladies will shred in Crothers Wood. There are two starts. One features two laps on the 3-km course. The second race takes riders around for one more loop.

The organizers say there’ll be food, prices and a party afterwards.

The racing begins at 6:30 p.m.
