Danny MacAskill’s unbelievable Wee Day Out in rural Scotland

Lighthearted and charming his stunts will still make your jaw-drop

The ever impressive Danny MacAskill shows off his skills in his native Scotland in his latest video, a Wee Day Out. Accompanied by the charming tune National Express by The Divine Comedy the clip will surely put a smile on your face. Watch as the ever jaw-dropping stunt rider pulls off some sweet moves in the quaint countryside around Edinburgh and battles an unexpectedly deep puddle.

“Pretty much every trick that I’ve done in the film has been a massive challenge and a little bit out of my comfort zone.”

In the video, MacAskill’s is back on his mountain bike video after 2014’s The Ridge, where he tackled the Cuillin Ridge on his home Isle of Skye. That video featured stunning, rugged scenery. The latest video is more lighthearted shot in perhaps a more relatable setting with farms, bales of hay, a picnic table, the natural landscape bridges and a puddle being used to pull off some unbelievable moves.

“Although I’m doing very abnormal riding, I set out to make a video that hopefully relates to the normal rider” said MacAskill who makes a normal day of riding unbelievable. “Every rider has had to ride through a puddle when it’s been a bit unknown how deep the centre of that puddle is, it just so happens that the puddle in my film is 6ft deep.

“I wanted to do a video on the mountain bike again and give myself creative freedom with this film. It’s meant to be a fun day out on the bike, so I wanted it to be quite light-hearted,” MacAskill explained.
