At Eurobike, De Rosa presented two new bikes that will fill out the Italian companies 2017 line-up. The De Rosa SK Pininfarina Luxury and the De Rosa SK Pininfarina Disc were developed in cooperation with Italian car design firm Pininfarina.

The new SK Pininfarina Luxury and Disc are both made in Italy and are bikes with flashy paint jobs reminiscent of the Maserati’s, Ferrari’s and Alfa Romeo’s their design partners have worked on. The frames have routing for mechanical or electronic shifting and feature the eye-catching curves you’d expect from an Italian companies top-line of frame. Along, of course, with the aerodynamic features you’ve come to expect from a speedy bike. The SK—which stands for Super King— Pininfarina has a tapered head tube, lowered seatstays, and wide tubes for stiffness.

“In the De Rosa SK Pininfarina Luxury we have created new milestones in design, technology, luxury and the use of innovative materials which, in combination, have also created a single innovative milestone” said Paolo Pininfarina, president of the Pininfarina Group. “In De Rosa we have found and extraordinary partner with whom we are creating an entirely new world geared specifically for the discerning cyclist who loves the combination of Italian styling and performance.”

The disc version of the bike will eventually be available with Campagnolo’s announced disc brakes which were revealed in March. With the addition of the disc technology of their bikes, De Rosa say they have prepared their line-up for the versatility riders are seeking, which with disc brakes come with increased braking power and control.

The King XS was designed by De Rose to be the companies flagship lightweight performance bike featuring control in the descents and comfort despite it’s tenacity for speed on the ascents. It once again takes in place in the 2017 lineup.

The Idol is another performance bike that was designed with delicate lines and can be had in disc brake or traditional road brake models. The Planet is the companies entry-level carbon frame which once again is offered with five colour pallets to choose from.

De Rosa also offer titanium, steel and aluminium frames to ensure there is a bike for different styles and requirements. “Our 2017 collection continues our tradition, one that began very humbly in 1953, and has always been the result of careful research whose aim has been to deliver bicycles defined by their innovative and characteristics,” said Cristiano De Rosa,
business director of De Rosa Bicycles. “We are also preparing a surprise that we will reveal later this year.”
