Clara’s Big Ride; Day 33

HUghesOn Sunday, Clara Hughes and her crew took a much deserved rest day in PEI after riding 764km the previous week.

Beginning on Monday, the campaign was full speed ahead once again. Hughes was hosted by the Colonel Grey HS in Charlottetown, PEI where she spoke in front of a large and engaged audience. From there she went to Spring Street Academy in Amherst, NS before continuing on to Truro, NS. The day’s events went as well as could be expected, although one of her riding partners Burke Swindlehurst left Hughes’s tour for the time being. His contributions thus far have been great but this progression is all a part of the plan. Hughes will be joined by former Canadian National Champion Mark Walters for the next leg of the tour. Together they will head towards St. John’s, NF.

Currently the tour is in Halifax, NS after riding 106km from Truro. Full information can be found at Clara’s Big Ride, through Hughes’ twitter feed or on Facebook.
