Ruby West battled to a strong second at Pan American continental championships on Sunday at the Silver Goose.

After escaping early with eventual winner Clara Honsinger, the Canadian held on to ride home solo in the silver medal position, delivering another podium performance for the very vocally supportive home crowd.

The Canadian U23 national champion is on the new Specialized-Tenspeed Hero team this year. One perk of having the Chicago boutique apparel brand as a title sponsor is the custom TSH team-edition bike, an S-Works Crux from her other title sponsor Specialized.

West was also wearing her custom maple leaf skinsuit on Sunday at the Silver Goose. Designed by the aesthetically on-point Americans, the intricate maple leaf pattern has to be one of the better looking Canadian champion outfits we’ve ever seen.

You can cheer on West on Saturday in Peterborough, Ont. as she tries to earn another maple leaf jersey.
