Junior sensation Rafaelle Carrier wins Canada’s first CX World Cup title

Rafaelle Carrier has won Canada’s first World Cup title, junior women, after coming third in Sunday’s final race of the 2024-25 series in Hoogerheide, the Netherlands.

Going into Sunday, Canadian junior champion Carrier was 14 points ahead of French rider Lise Revol in the overall standings having pocketed two Junior World Cups wins, along with a second, a third and a sixth. She also placed 19th in an elite World Cup race in Namur. Her European campaign also produced a Junior Superprestige win (Gullegem) and seventh in an elite round of the X2O Badkamers Trofee, the GP Sven Nys.

In the 2022-23 season Ava Holmgren was second and sister Isabella third to Dutch rider Lauren Molengraaf in the Junior classification.
