In the Canadian cycling market, a new partnership with Quebec-based On The Edge marketing means that Rotor Bike Components, as of March 1, will have a higher profile on the national riding scene. With On the Edge being the distributor of high-end brands like ENVE and Pivot Cycles, Rotor Bike Components enters some very prestigious company.

The brand is known principally—and famously—for its Q-Rings, oval chainrings that can be oriented in a way that supports a rider’s distinct pedaling characteristics. After achieving success with that breakout product, Rotor followed it up by developing bottom brackets, power meters and cranks, all of which stand as a testament to the brand’s principal dedication: performance. For Rotor, the objective is to be a high-end alternative in the international cycling market, developing innovative technical products—something recently demonstrated by the launch of UNO, a complete, and unprecedented, hydraulic groupset for road riders.

It’s that innovation, On the Edge officials say, that makes the partnership a fitting, exciting one for both parties.

“We are excited to add Rotor to our lineup of brands,” said Jean Philippe Da Silva, the brand’s director of sales and marketing. “Since 1998 we have prided ourselves on offering the best and most innovative brands through Canada’s finest retailers. Today, with the mountain of information available online, the demand by consumers for high-end quality brands like Rotor has never been better.”

Already, Rotor has demonstrated its eminence in the cycling world, through its support of Dimension Data as well as a technical contribution to three Grand Tour victories, a pair of Olympic gold medals, several world championships and more. The brand’s new partnership means that On the Edge will be the exclusive Canadian distributor of its products, the same ones that yielded such success on the global stage.

Through this arrangement, Rotor’s first stock is expected in Canada within the year.
