Watch: Brett Rheeder in “Beautiful Idiot”

Short film focuses on mental strength of one of mountain biking's best riders

Brett Rheeder has been one of the biggest names in slopestyle for several years now, but getting to that position wasn’t easy. Neither is staying there.

Instead of the usual, two minutes edit full of riding clips, Rheeder’s new short film Beautiful Idiot slows down things down a bit. The film goes behind the scenes, looking at the mindset of an athlete constantly pushing while always being in the public view.

Produced by Harrison Mendel and Robb Thompson, Beautiful Idiot shows how elite mountain biking can be as much a mental struggle as a physical one. Take a ride through Rheeder’s mindset as he continues to chase greatness on mountain biking’s biggest stages, and through long practice days at home.

Oh yeah, and there’s still plenty of incredible riding from Rheeder.
