Cam Zink is making the biggest mountain bike jump ever built

Follow along as Zink’s crew builds and tests the massive jump in Red Rock, Nev.

Cam Zink

Cam Zink has put together what he is calling the biggest mountain bike jump ever built, and has already started practicing the line on motorbikes. Zink and crew trucked in a massive metal ramp to his spot in Red Rock, Nev., just outside Reno and have built a suitably huge landing. They’ve pushed the ramp out to 120 ft. so far in their moto test runs, but the goal is a staggering 150 ft. gap on mountain bikes. In the past, Zink has back-flipped a record 100 ft. gap, so this 150 ft. project is within the realm of possibility. Or, at least, it’s imaginable in the world of Cam Zink and co. This is not something you would want to try at home. When even legendary extreme sports pioneer Shaun Palmer is saying Zink “is out of his [expletive deleted] mind,” you know this is leading up to something good.

Follow the crew and their on progress with this massive jump through Instagram, as they move from building to testing on motorbikes and, eventually, hitting the line on mountain bikes.

*General language warning for, well, almost all of these clips. So hit mute if that seems relevant*

Zink and Damon Iwanaga testing out the jump on motorbikes with the gap pulled back to 120 ft.

Damon Iwanaga fully over-sending the gap on his moto, landing around 160 ft., plus bonus footage of the Iwanaga, Zink and Palmer riding other jumps around the jump location. Again, language warning…
