Carter Woods landed a top-10 World Cup finish on Sunday, finishing sixth in the under-23 men’s XCO in Leogang, Austria. The Norco Factory Team rider led the Canadian results.

Emilly Johnston (Norco Factory Team) was the top women’s u23, finishing 20th. Roxane Vermette (Stimulus-Orbea) followed in 30th.

Noah Ramsay (Batemans) followed Woods, finishing 57th in the under-23 men’s race. With Leogang sitting in an awkward spot on the calendar, fewer young Canadians were in Austria for the under-23 race. Those that were, rode well.

Dutch cyclocross phenom Puck Pieterse (Alpecin-Fenix) ends Line Burquier’s (Canyon Cllctv) winning streak, taking the win in Austria. Burquier held on for second with Olivia Onesti putting another French rider on the podium in third.

Martin Viadurre (Lexware) keeps his World Cup winning streak alive on the under-23 men’s side. It’s the Chilean’s fourth-straight World Cup XCO win. Italian’s Simone Avondetto (Willier-Pirelli) and Filippo Fontana (CS Carabinieri) followed in second and third.
