Canada is a big country, which can make it hard to put on a national race series. Especially when your discipline requires the multiple, lengthy descents needed to put on a national-level enduro race.

As a young racer, it can be even more difficult to sacrifice the income-earning weekends between school to travel across the country to make these races, which are essential for gaining the experience – and qualifying points – necessary to move up to international level racing at the Enduro World Series.

Norco Canadian Enduro Series is not only putting on these essential qualifying events, but supporting a team of four talented young riders for 2019.

The 2019 NCES development team is:
Evan Wall (Revelstoke, B.C.)
Jacob Tooke (Vernon, B.C.)
Jo Peters (Squamish B.C.)
Max Leyen (Frasier Valley, B.C.)

All four riders are frequently spotted on NCES podium, and will continue targeting the series. With the increased level of support that comes from the addition of Norco and Live To Play Sports as team sponsors, the four will be adding Enduro World Series and Big Mountain Enduro events to the team calendar.

Behind the scenes, the team will continue to the support of Ted Morton as Team Manager, James Cattanach as team photographer and Joel Harwood from Blueprint Athlete Develoment as coach. New this year are Keith Wilson from Pendrel Racing and Ricky Federau, both of whom will add coaching support to the team.

With the addition of Norco as a tam sponsor, the NCES Development team will ride 2019 Range 29 bikes with custom builds from LTP Sports’ brands. Additional support for the team comes from NCES events as well as from individual donations. If you’re interested in supporting the team, you can do that here.
