GT Factory Racing shakes up lineup with 2018 roster announcement

Noga Korem and George Brannigan join re-worked squad going for upcoming season

GT Factory Racing 2018

GT Factory Racing started 2018 off with a major shakeup of it’s rider roster, adding Noga Korem of Israel, George brannigan of New Zealand and Joey Foresta of the United States to the team. The three newcomers join existing GTFR riders Wyn Master and Martin Maes for the upcoming season.

Noga Korem made waves in 2017 by racing the entire Enduro World Series as a privateer, travelling and racing the series solo as it hopped between continents and around the globe through the season. Along the way, Korem nabbed a podium spot at Round 3 of the EWS in Madeira as well as the EWS Breakout Performance Award.

Korem will be joined on GT Factory Racing by George Brannigan, a two-time New Zealand national mtb champion and regular on the downhill World Cup circuit. Known for his rowdy style of racing, Brannigan won the Crankworx Rotorura AirDH in 2016. Also targeting World Cup DH with GT Factory Racing will be Joey Foresta. The 16-year-old American will take on his first year of racing UCI DH World Cup in the Junior category, under the supervision of Brannigan and existing GTFR racer, Wyn Masters.

GT Factory Racing : Wyn Masters / Martin Maes

Returning to GT Factory Racing for 2018 are Brannigan’s fellow New Zealander, Wyn Masters, and German EWS racer Martin Maes. Wyn Masters, known as the face of WynTV, World Cup track walk previews and his prolific #wheeliewednesday videos, will continue to balance EWS appearances with World Cup DH racing. Not just a hilarious personality, Masters won the first round of EWS racing in 2017 over the course of a long rainy day in Rotorura. Also returning to GTFR is Martin Maes, who will contest the EWS series alongside Korem. Maes is remarkably consistent in the unpredictable world of enduro racing, which earned him 6th overall in the 2017 EWS season.
