Wednesday’s Panorama Canada Cup is a wrap and the dust is finally starting to settle on the second round of Dunbar Summer Series’ Superweek. Steep, fast, and relentlessly challenging, the mid-week stop at a Canadian classic threw a wrench into several riders’ plans

“The track is super fun,” aMTB racer Cole Bernier says. “It’s mountain biking: it’s rough and it’s hard.”

Claire Bouchar and Jackson Frew showed they had the skills and experience to tame Panorama’s “Cliffs of Insanity,” both adding a second win to their weekend wins in Fernie.

Riders are already at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for Sunday’s 2022 Canadian downhill national championships. Bouchar and Frew will face a solid challenge from some late arrivals to the Dunbar Summer Series. The start list swells to a massive 365 riders this weekend, including several riders making room for Nationals on their busy World Cup calendars.

Before KHMR gets started, catch up with what happened at Panorama.
