Isabella Holmgren doubles up in Les Gets
Lidl-Trek racer adds XCO win to XCC for perfect weekend in France

Isabella Holmgren doubled up with two World Cup wins in Les Gets over the weekend. After winning the short track (XCC) on Friday, the Lidl-Trek Ontarian won Sunday’s under-23 women’s XCO to make it a perfect weekend.
Holmgren was 25 seconds ahead of France’s Olivia Onesti (Trinx Factory Team) and the end of five muddy laps of racing. Kira Böhm (Cube Factory Racing) rounds out the podium in third.

Ella MacPhee (Pivot Cycles-OTE) had her best European World Cup result to date, finishing eighth in Les Gets.
Marie-Fay St. Onge finished 57th for Canada and Nicole Bradbury 68th. Emilly Johnston was ill and not able to start Sunday’s under-23 women’s XCO.
Under-23 men
Cole Punchard (Pivot Cycles-OTE) had a fantastic showing, leading the Canadian men with a fifth place in the under-23 XCO. Bjorn Riley (Trek Future Racing) earned the win, continuing his stellar 2024 season. Own Clark followed in 13th and Ian Ackert (Trek Future Racing) 18th, his best result overseas this year. All in a great weekend for the Canadian squad with three men in the top 20.
