Race Face Creator Series launches next week with films from across Canada
10 different stories of community and mountain biking from across the country
For many riders, mountain biking is as much about the people, and their stories, as it is about getting out on the trails. The promise of adventure, shared with riding buddies or strangers met on the trail, is what draws so many of us out into the woods each weekend.
Looking to find, and give voice to more of these stories, Race Face put out applications for the Creator Series earlier this year. The creative-focused initiative was an opportunity for filmmakers of all abilities and experience to share their experience of mountain biking outside of the standard commercial channels.
The Creator Series received hundreds of pitches from riders across the country. 10 were selected, representing communities from Nanaimo to Newfoundland. Now, Race Face is set to share these films for all to see.
Contributors range from new faces to familiar names of experienced storytellers. Locations and riders range from Bali to an inspiring story of overcoming injury to take on the BC Bike Race. There’s trail builders in Nanaimo, and new riding communities in Newfoundland. All this mixed in with exciting locations across Canada and around the world.
