Race Face “Creator Series” heads to Nanaimo for “Billder”

Episode 2 returns to Canada after visiting post-logging town Darrington, Wash.

The first two episodes of Race Face’s Creator Series have landed, telling the story of one town’s efforts to overcome tragedy and , back in Canada, one trail builders quest to make a living out of his passion for building trails.

Bill McLane has been a trail builder on Vancouver Island for years now. First, as a passion pursued between forest firefighting seasons. Now McLane is able to build as his full time job. The trails bearing his name have helped shape the riding scene on Vancouver Island. Both in his home town of Nanaimo and towns across the Island. These include his recent work building Cumberland’s climbing trail. Billder looks at the passion and craft behind trails riders can sometimes take for granted:
