Race Face partners with Fox for Turbine R dropper post

Race Face have redesigned the popular Turbine dropper post for 2018, adding new internals to improve performance and reliability. The Vancouver-based company worked in partnership with Fox, borrowing the design from the suspension giant’s award winning Transfer dropper post, and adding the Turbine R aesthetics to match the full line of Race Face ‘R series’ parts. The post will be available in three travel options: 150mm, 125mm, and 100mm.

Along with the new post, Race Face redesigned its well received 1x RF lever, optimizing it for the new Turbine R internals and improving lever feel on the shifter-style lever. The 1x lever is designed to take the spot left open by riders moving to 1x drivetrains, so Race Face will continue to offer the top-mounted Universal Lever for anyone wanting to run a 2x set up along with their Turbine R, or as an option to work with different suspension lockout levers.

Offering several different travel lengths, Race Face intend the Turbine R to cover everything from XC racing, to trail and all-mountain riding, and enduro racing. 100mm and 125mm give enough drop to get the seat out of the way, while still keeping the overall seat post length short to accommodate frames with shorter seat tube clearance, and to keep weights down. The 150mm travel option should keep the enduro and long-legged crowd happy.

The Turbine R 1x lever is Matchmaker compatible. It has a zero-offset head, and has 31.6mm and 30.9 mm diameter options.
