Winning Runs: Red Bull Rampage 2018

Style, speed and big tricks from the top three runs at Utah freeride competition

Red Bull Rampage 2018

Red Bull Rampage landed at a brand new desert venue for 2018, meaning riders had to dig entirely new lines for the freeride contest. With the fresh venue came a first time winner, as Canada’s Brett Rheeder claimed top Rampage honours after several years of finishing just off the podium in Utah.

Watch the top three runs from Red Bull Rampage 2018 in Virgin, Utah.

1st place: Brett Rheeder’s first run was the only one the Canadian needed to win his first Red Bull Rampage title. Smooth, and technically challenging, with some big tricks thrown in to seal the title.

Andreu Lacondeguy rode a breakneck pace down the new rampage venue, slowing down just enough to spice up his high speed run with big airs and big style. The wild ride was enough for second, Lacondeguy’s third Rampage podium.

Ethan Nell seemed at home at the new Rampage site. Possibly because it is really close to the Utah rider’s hometown of Saint George. Local’s knowledge helped the young freerider send big tricks to take his second straight third place finish in Utah.
