Dunbar Summer Series barrels towards its dramatic conclusion

Dunbar Summer Series is two races in, and the biggest is just getting started. 2022 Canadian downhill national championships are back at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for another year of dust, steep slabs and fast trails.

The possibility of wearing the maple sleeve for the next year has enticed many of Canada’s top riders to make the journey to Golden, B.C. for nationals. Tegan Cruz, Gracey Hemstreet, Lucas Cruz, Jakob Jewett and Rachel Pageau are among the riders squeezing Nationals between World Cups in Vallnord, Andorra and the upcoming event in Snowshoe, W.Va.

Pageau took the top spot in the women’s race, just ahead of Squamish’s Bailey Goldstone. On the men’s die, though, it was Gabe Neron, already two Canada Cup races deep this week, taking the top elite seeding result.

Finals run all Sunday at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.

Full seeding results on Zone4.
