Skateboarders take over the trails in ‘Wheels on Woods’
Skating takes a cue from mountain biking for freeride session in the forest
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to skateboard through your favourite mountain bike trail?
If you ever skated and now ride bikes, you’ve probably daydreamed about combining the two.
Of course, the tiny wheels on a skateboard aren’t exactly ideal for dirt, never mind trails.
Setting out to skate the unskateable, Ryan Decenzo, Gustavo Ribeiro, Giovanni Vianna, Mauro Iglesias and Luiz Francisco do what they need to to make a forest skateboard trails session work.
The results are pretty incredible. With road gaps, rollers and bars built up in the Austrian forest, the crew gets their dream session. While it’s hard to imagine, it is incredible to watch.
“If I could be an animal in the forest, I think I would be a bear…”
