For the second stop in back-to-back weekends of World Cup racing, racers are headed to the infamously steep Vallnord downhill track in Andorra.

Day 1 of practice delivered a mix of perfect dirt and afternoon showers, leaving a lingering uncertainty about what conditions riders can expect for Saturday’s finals at Round 5 of the UCI downhill World Cup.

Commencal Vallnord’s racers look particularly comfortable racing on home turf, even with Amaury Pierron wearing the series leader jersey as he hunts for his fourth consecutive World Cup win. Commecal Bikes is based nearby in Andorra.
