Red Bull Rampage 2019 was the most competitive edition of the Utah freeride festival in recent memory. As evidence, watch Brendan Fairclough’s wildly impressive fourth place run.

The World Cup downhill racer may have been edged off the podium by a trio of Canadians, but his run is still inspiring. Watch Fairclough’s run from his perspective, including the massive canyon gap to sniper landing, below.

Fairclough wasn’t the only one putting down a huge run to land just shy of the podium. Szymon Godziek was fifth, but won the People’s Choice Award for his run.

Just two points behind Fairclough, but back in eighth, was Bend, Ore.’s Carson Storch. The young Rocky Mountain rider focused on inspiring the judges. What kind of run would make the judges themselves want to get out and ride?
