Boutique Boulder, Colo.-based Yeti Cycles finishes a steady roll out of its 2019 line of mountain bikes, with the all-rounder SB130.

The trail bike hits a middle ground between the cross country capable SB100 and the more enduro oriented SB150 in Yeti’s line of 29″ bikes. As the name suggests, the SB130 features 130mm of rear wheel travel, paired with a 150mm Fox 36 fork set up with 44mm offset.

The new mid-travel 29-er steps into the place in Yeti’s line left open by the popular SB5.5 model. More than just a new name, the SB130 gets a host of updates for a more progressive trail geometry. Longer reach, steeper seat angle and slacker head angle (65.5-degrees).

While the SB130 has a similar appearance to its recently released larger sibling, the SB150, the shorter travel 29-er has a different kinematic and tube profile to match its different purpose. Yeti still wants you to ride the SB130 as hard as you want on the descents, but the bike’s shorter travel will make it easier to get back up to the top of the mountain for a second lap. Both bikes feature a new patent-pending shock extender combined with Yeti’s Switch Infinity suspension platform, which carries over from previous years SB frames.

Backing up its claim that the SB130 is a bike built to be confident on whatever trail you decide to ride down, the frame is approved to run a coil shock, should you choose to upgrade. Like the SB100 and SB150, the mid-travel bike has room for a water bottle inside the front triangle.

Like previous generations of Yeti’s, the SB130 will be available in two carbon fibre layup options. The Carbon (C-series) and lightweight Turq option both make their way to the SB130. The Turq version is also available to purchase as a frame only.

There will be three colour options for the SB130: traditional Yeti turquoise, black, and, new for 2019, Spruce turqoise. The bike will be available in four sizes, from small to XL.

For 2019, Yeti has introduced its new “no-B.S. Lifetime Warranty.” All 2019 bikes, starting with the SB100 released way back in April of 2018, will be covered by the new warranty. The complete 2019 Yeti line includes the SB 100 and SB100 Beti, SB150 in 29″ and the 27.5″-based SB5, SB5 Beti, SB5 Lunch Ride, and SB6.
