A story of hope and support in the Ride community…

Two Days. Over 200 Kilometres. Conquer Cancer.

Join the 2018 Ride to Conquer Cancer

“In 2015, my friend Erin Barrett and I were diagnosed with rare gynaecological cancers. We had one of our first appointments at the same time in the same clinic—something we call ‘the worst double date in history.’ Throughout treatment, we became extremely close. In 2017, Erin and I trained and fundraised for The Ride to Conquer Cancer, as we hoped to complete the event together. When a reoccurrence prevented Erin from conquering the over 200-kilometre distance last August, she joined me on stage at The Ride’s start line to share our story with thousands of people before kickoff. We will finally cross The Ride’s finish line together this summer in the 10th annual event, honouring our collective strength and the adversity we’ve overcome. We’ll continue to hold each other up no matter how steep the incline.” – Nicola Anderson, second-time participant in The Ride to Conquer Cancer.

The Ride celebrates our female Riders on International Women’s Day this March 8, and you can too by joining our Ridership this year!
