Cycling YouTuber Safa Brian levels up camera game
You may remember his viral video featuring Tom Pidcock’s incredible descent

Safa Brian is one of the most well-known content creators out there. For road cycling fans who hadn’t heard of him, in February 2023, he posted an incredible video featuring Tom Pidcock. The Alpe d’Huez winner was descending Tuna Canyon in L.A., putting on an impressive display of skill, leaving many viewers white-knuckled at how fast he took each switchback.
What’s more impressive? YouTuber Safa Brian was right behind him, filming with his chest cam.
Incredible descending skills
The content creator is known for his remarkable ability to descend with precision and control. He has captivated audiences not only through his skills but also through his approach to cycling. His social media content, often showcasing daring descents and breathtaking landscapes, has drawn in hundreds of thousands of views.
Later in 2023, he captured similar content, tailing French rider Romain Bardet and American Kevin Vermaerke in California. Their descending was a thing of beauty.
“I had the pleasure of linking up with twoWorldTour riders to film them on the wonderful Mulholland Highway in Malibu. Despite a strong headwind, these guys kept the hammer down and took all the major KOMs on their way,” he said.
The YouTuber continues to push boundaries when it comes to riding and now joins the Insta360 action camera family alongside other daredevils in sports. He joins adventure cyclists and superbike riders like Jonathan Rea and snowboarder Zhang Jiahao. The Insta360 Team is of athletes, adventurers, and who push beyond their limits every day–and film it all for our enjoyment.
After the Pidcock video, fans were concerned about both the Brit’s and his safety. The downhill is just under 5 km with an average gradient of -9.75 per cent and features 65 sharp corners. One early bend caught Pidcock off guard when he clipped his pedal, causing his back wheel to skip. Amid the social media buzz, Pidcock reassured fans on Instagram: “For those asking, I did scout the descent a few times. It was a one-way and a car was ahead clearing the path.” Pidcock, no rookie at speed, reminded fans of his downhill skills.
