Shimano harnesses cosmic forces for S-Phyre

Ever since Shimano’s introduced its flagship S-Phyre line, the shoes have tended towards bright colours. A new limited-edition Aurora colour option takes that up a couple notches.

Inspired by the Aurora Borealis, the S-Phyre Aurora run of shoes and sunglasses sport an aesthetic that isn’t quite out of this world, but it is up there in the stratosphere. A shimmering blue, purple, and turquoise colourway is supposed to mimic the Northern Lights.

The cosmic colour option will only be made in the S-Phyre RC9 shoe and S-Phyre R sunglasses. RC9 shoes get the spacey look applied to the microfiber synthetic leather one-piece outer. the S-Phyre R shades add a matching Aurora aesthetic to the lightweight frames and Polarized Polycarbonte lens.

Only a few hundred pairs of the Aurora RC9 shoes and S-Phyre R glasses will be made, so if you want that weightless feeling on your feet you better move fast.

Beyond aesthetics, both shoes and glasses will be functionally identical to the existing offerings. While you don’t get any new features with the Northern Lights-inspired look, the limited-run keeps the same price as the rest of the S-Phyre line.

Pricing for the Aurora S-PHYRE RC9 shoes will be USD $400.00. The cosmic-coloured S-PHYRE R glasses come in at $150.00.

Both shimmering S-Phyre Aurora boots and shades will only be available through Shimano premium S-Phyre dealers across North America.
