Easton rolls out the new EC90 Aero85 Disc wheelset

Disc-equipped road bikes come in all shapes and sizes with the braking technology being introduced to climbing frames, adventure bikes and stiff wind-cheating aero bikes. Easton’s new EC90 Aero Disc wheelset gives those looking to get an aerodynamic edge with their disc-equipped road bike a top-end option from the American company.

The EC90 Aero Disc wheels are a tubeless ready, deep carbon rimmed wheelset. The wheelset uses Easton’s Fantom rim profile which helps cut the wind for extra speed and are 85 mm deep. Internally, the rims measure 19 mm so wide tires mount flush and provide all-weather traction.

The rims are laced to Easton’s thru axle or QR compatible Vault hub which features 6-degree engagement allowing riders to accelerate with immediacy. The new disc hubs were released last year and have centerlock rotor mounts.

The EC90 Aero85 comes with what Easton call a two-year warranty no-fault warranty. They will repair or replace a set of EC90 carbon wheels regardless of the extent of the damage or how it occurred. The coverage includes the rim, spokes, and hub and bearings.

To keep a sharp, stealth look, the EC90 Aero85 are finished with a clear coat finish. With the EC90 Aero Disc, cyclists don’t have to worry about precarious braking so you can ride fast with confidence regardless of the weather.

Pricing is $1375 front, $1475 rear and $2850 for the wheelset.
