We liked the Bollé One Road Premium when it first came out in 2016. For 2018, Bollé are offering the tried-and-tested helmet in new colours, in a new size and as a base model. Additionally, Bollé have made updates the their commuter helmets and added sunglasses models.

The One Road Premium boasts many features that make it a versatile and a attrative option for those in the helmet market. An aero shell gives the wearer protection in inclement weather and a slight advantage when going fast. It can easily be removed for more ventilation. It comes with a winter liner for riding cold Canadian weather. A removable LED light on the back is a nice added safety feature.

The One Road Premium will now be available in a navy, red and white model, and a white and black model. The helmet also gets a smaller size of 51 to 54 cm in addition to the medium and large helmets already available.

The One Road base also adds to the line-up for those who just want the basic offering without the ad-on’s which can still be purchased separately. The B-Rock Katusha Pro Team Edition sunglasses are another addition to the 2018 line-up of offerings.

The urban helmets also received an update. The Messenger Premium gets high-viz details on various parts of the helmet to make the rider visible to motorists. Like the road helmet it also comes with a winter liner and light. The Messenger Standard forgoes the high-viz details and the winter liner.

The new helmets and sunglasses will be available in the spring of 2018. The One Basic will retail for US$89 while the One Premium is listed at US$169. The Messenger Premium starts at US$139.00 and the Messenger Standard is listed at US$119.00. Sunglasses in the Bollé collection start at US$99 and go to US$189.
