Although there’s plenty more racing left in 2022, Cycling Canada has announced that the 2023 Canadian Championships calendar will kick off early in the 2023 with the elite and masters Canadian track championships to be hosted by Cycling Canada at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario from January 6-8.

The winter season will finish up with the second edition of the Canadian e-sports championships, hosted on the RGT virtual platform on March 11-12, before u-17, junior and para athletes head to the new Bromont velodrome for the first time ever to compete at the Canadian track championships from March 31 to April 1. The Sylvan Adams velodrome has been under construction for the past few years, and is set to be open in October 2022.

The Bromont Velodrome is going to be seriously impressive

After the track season concludes, national competitions will resume in late June with the Canadian Road Championships for elite, junior and para athletes returning to Edmonton, Alberta for the second consecutive year.

The following weekend, the Canadian masters road championships will head to Victoriaville, Québec, for the Vélo.Victo.Fest., where athletes of all classes will have the opportunity to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.
