A new video feature has been released, celebrating the other-worldly, gravity-defying skill of Rocky Mountain – Urge bp Rally Team enduro rider Florian Nicolai, following him through the breathtaking terrain of France’s Maritime Alps.

That feature, Rocky Mountain Bicycles announced, is called Flo Like Water.

Watching Nicolai bounce and sail effortlessly over sharp, jagged terrain and precisely carve the soil of more than a few tight turns, that name is certainly appropriate. As much as the video is a testament to the skill of Florian Nicolai, it’s also a portrait of some of the world’s most challenging, technical terrain.

But it’s Flo’s skill on the bike, peers suggest, that makes even that terrain look easy. “Flo is insane,” said Jesse Melamed, Nicolai’s teammate on Rally Team. “I don’t understand half the stuff he does, but it’s fun to watch!” Part of that, said Brian Park of Rocky Mountain Bicycles, may have something to do with his pedigree as an athlete, being one of the first athletes to have started in enduro.

“Flo is a weirdly fast alien on a bike,” Park said. “He’s got creative trail vision, and is one of the first riders coming up to have started out as a pure enduro racer. Even after two strong EWS seasons taking 5th and 4th place overall, you get the feeling he’s hungry for more results. Can’t wait to see how this season unfolds.”
