The popular gender equality activist, mother of three, and wife to Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, posted the photo of herself and a thoroughly bundled up child heading out for a morning ride. The Prime Minister has talked in the past about the importance of the environment to Canadians, and supported urban cycling infrastructure. Grégoire Trudeau showed her hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers she’s willing to ditch the car on occasion, even when the weather isn’t making it easy to do so.

Grégoire Trudeau’s frosty mountain bike ride isn’t the first time she’s posted about outdoor pursuits. The active Trudeau family have been quite vocal about enjoying their time in Tofino, B.C. on the west coast of Vancouver Island. On one visit to Canada’s most famous surf town, Grégoire Trudeau’s posted photos to her Instagram of catching waves in Tofino’s renowned surf and practicing yoga on the beaches facing out into the Pacific Ocean.
