Montreal-native wins Famenne Ardenne Classic after recovering from a broken leg the doctors said would end his season

Boivin sprinted to the win at the Famenne Ardenne Classic, a UCI 1.1 race in Belgian, ahead of Quentin Pacher (Vital Concept Cycling Club) and Danny van Poppel (LottoNL-Jumbo). The victory is made even sweeter by the fact that doctors had said he’s season was likely over after he broke his leg in mid-June.

Boivin returned to competition at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Quebec where he finished 21st. At the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montreal, he finished 19th and said the race was one of his best ever performances. At the Gooikse Pijl on Sunday, Boivin finished fourth.
On Thursday he made good on his excellent form to win the 194.5 km race that finished in the town of Marche-en-Famenne. The race had several short steep climbs that forced a selection in the Belgian fall classic.
