Hamilton testifies in Operation Puerto trial
Former client of Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes speaks in Spanish court
On Tuesday, Tyler Hamilton testified in the Operation Puerto trial via video link from the Spanish embassy in Washington, D.C. Many of the details that the former member of Teams CSC and Phonak, and client of Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes, discussed had appeared in his book The Secret Race.
In 2006, Spanish police made arrests after investigating cyclists who had worked with Fuentes. Seven years later, the doctor, his sister Yolanda Fuentes, Manolo Saiz, former ONCE and Liberty Seguros team directeur sportif , as well as Vicente Belda and Ignacio Labarta, both associated with the former team Kelme, are being tried in a Madrid criminal court.
