How to watch the 2018 Innsbruck UCI Road World Championships in Canada

The final act of the 2018 road cycling season culminates with the crowning of a new world champion. Riders across the junior, under-23 and elite ranks will race for the chase to wear the rainbow stripes for the coming year on challenging and mountainous courses in Innsbruck, Austria. The week long competition gets underway with the trade team time trials on Sunday.

In 2018, unlike in past years, if you want to watch the UCI Road World Championships in Canada you will have to use a paid service. The races will not be broadcast on any Canadian sports channels. The Innsbruck world championships run from Sept. 3 to the 30th with team time trials, individual time trials and road races for junior, U23 and elite riders. To watch the action, you’ll need to subscribe to Fubo TV or FloBikes which both offer live and on-demand coverage to viewers in Canada.

To get started with FloBikes, you will need to purchase a subscription package. You can either pay monthly which will cost $30 a month. Alternatively, you can pay for a calendar year which will cost $150. With the subscription, you can watch events live, and gain access to highlights and replays. The 2019 calendar hasn’t yet been revealed but in 2018 you could watch the some of the Classics, the Giro d’Italia, the Vuelta a España along with other prominent road races.
