How to watch the 2019 Grand Prix Cyclistes de Québec et Montréal in Canada
Follow all the WorldTour action on the streets of Quebec City and Montreal on Sept. 13 and 15
The WorldTour races in Quebec City and Montreal celebrate their 10th editions in 2019. To make the most of the milestone, the Montreal race has been extended two laps for a grand total of 20 km while the race in Quebec City remains an arduous 202 km. The startlist is jam-packed with Canadian WorldTour, Pro Continental and upcoming talent with the most North American riders set to race around the urban circuits. Additionally, many of the top international riders will be in Canada to contest the two races that are being used by many as a build-up to the 2019 Yorkshire UCI Road World Championships at the end of the month.
Fans won’t want to miss a minute of the action this year. If you are tuning in from your television set, French-language sports broadcaster TVA Sport will be showing the Quebec race from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm EDT on Friday, Sept. 13 and the Montreal race is slotted to be shown from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, Sept. 15.
For other Canadians and viewers in the U.S. who want to follow the GPCQM in English, FloBikes is the place to go. FloSports is a distributor of live digital sporting events. GCN Racing will also be showing the event live on their Youtube channel. The broadcast for the GP Quebec starts at 11 am on Sept. 13 while the GP Montreal broadcast info has yet to go live.
Michael Matthews returns to defend his clean sweep of the two races from 2019 while Vincenzo Nibali makes his debut, Peter Sagan returns to Canada for another crack at the races, Tour de France animater Julian Alaphilippe starts alongside many others cycling stars such as Greg Van Avermaet, Geraint Thomas and Adam Yates.
On the Canadian front, Rally UHC bring all seven Canadians on their roster including the soon to be retired Svein Tuft participating in his final professional events. Michael Woods races for the first time as a WorldTour rider while Hugo Houle returns to his home province and Antoine Duchesne returns to competition after a lengthy absence after surgery earlier this year.
In 2020, FloBikes will broadcast a large portion of the WorldTour cycling calendar including the Tour de France and ASO’s other races such as Paris-Nice, Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La Course by Le Tour de France and the Tour of California.
