On Sept. 9, 2013, former world champion and Tour de France winner Cadel Evans stopped by the Logica Sport/Diadora booth at ExpoCycle in Montreal. Canadian Cycling Magazine‘s editor Matthew Pioro asked Evans about his recent stage win at the Tour of Alberta and the upcoming Grand Prix races in Quebec City and Montreal.

For the closing moments of the Tour of Alberta’s Stage 4, Evans said his plan was to “just outsmart” his breakaway companions. “It’s what you have to do as a bike rider if you don’t have the legs. I just bided my time. With years, you gain experience and hopefully you learn from those experiences and use them to your advantage.”
