Laura Brown grabs another Canadian cycling medal at Pan-Am Games

Third place in the individual time trial

Laura Brown of Vancouver, B.C. won bronze in the women’s individual time trial a day after Max Plaxton took silver and Amanda Sin finished with a bronze in the mountain bike races. Colombia’s Maria Luise Calle had the fastest time and Evenlyn Garcia of El Salvador was the runner up. Brown, who will also be competing in track cycling, completed the 20 kilometre circuit in 28:24, 19 seconds behind Calle. Denise Ramsden of Yellowknife, NWT was seventh.

In the men’s race, Remi Pelletier-Roy of Quebec City, QC placed 9th while Victoria, B.C.’s Rob Britton finished 12th.
